90 days. The license that matches what modern barbers actually do.
"The barber industry welcomes everyone. Including you!"
TICO · FOUNDER
The full barber curriculum was written in 1968. Most of it covers perms, relaxers, and chemical services. Modern barbershops do not sell any of that.
The Florida Restricted Barber License covers everything that fills a real barbershop chair. Same chair. Same earning power. 90 days instead of a year.

"Traditional barber schools are still teaching programs that hadn't been updated since 1968. That's why Invictus was created."
Twenty years behind the chair and training from the most respected academies in the world: Vidal Sassoon, Paul Mitchell, Menspire UK, and Ego Barbers UK.
In 2017 he founded Invictus Barber Shop in Coconut Creek: a destination chair for UFC fighters, celebrities, and clients who recognize the difference between a haircut and a craft.
In 2024 he turned that craft into a curriculum: Invictus Institute of Barbering, a modern school built for the way modern barbers actually work, because he watched too many barbers graduate broke from programs that hadn't been updated since 1968.
He calls his students Unlikely. He calls his graduates Black Belt Barbers. He doesn't apologize for any of it.
From industry trade authorities to community media, Tico’s work and the Invictus mission have been recognized.
Real students. Most had never picked up clippers before they walked in. Watch what 90 days at Invictus produced.

A real, state-issued Florida professional license. 600 hours of training. Covers cuts, fades, tapers, edges, shaves, beards, and razor work. The only services excluded are chemical services like perms, relaxers, and dyes. Modern barbershops do not sell those services.
Yes. The Florida Restricted Barber License is a real professional license. You can legally cut hair, fade, taper, shave, sculpt beards, and offer razor work across Florida. You can rent your own chair, work in any barbershop, or open and operate your own.
About 50 days of theory online, followed by 6 weeks of in person practical class in our Coconut Creek lab. Our lab is built as a modern barbershop, not a classroom. Professional chairs, professional tools, real clients during practice.
Because we removed the hours that do not apply to modern barbering. We teach 600 hours of what real barbers actually do every day, not 900 hours of mixed content.
